Welcome (back) to Bourbonnais, or as we like to think of it, the Manteno suburbs. This area of Illinois is filled with tons of great churches. Nazarene or not. Traditional or contemporary. Big, small, or medium. Close or far. Lots of places that are all about deepening our relationships with Jesus. Here is a bit of who we are. Manteno Church of the Nazarene is located in Manteno, a town of about 9,000. Our motto is Love God, Journey Together, Serve Others, and Share Jesus. And that is what we try to be all about. Loving God, journeying together, serving others, and sharing Jesus. We would love to Journey with you through your college/career time in Kankakee County. We would love to be a part of your community.
Services | We have two services on Sunday morning - 9am and 10:30am. Sleep late or come early, they are exactly the same. Both are designed to to celebrate our Savior together and be encouraged as we commit to live like him in our world. No choir, no fog machine, but yes on the coffee.
Rides | If you need a ride, we got you. We don't have a bus, but we do have lots of people headed to our church from anywhere in the area who would love to pick up a college kid, or six, on their way to church. (I bet if you do the puppy dog eyes, you can even score Sunday dinner after church.)
Monthly Dinner | On the first Sunday of the month, we have a dinner for college students and young adults after second service. Pretty lowkey with homecooked food. Invite your friends.
Journey Groups | Our small groups are called Journey Groups. We have them most nights of the week. You are welcome to come to any of them. We do have one, especially for young adults, on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. And before Journey Groups on Wednesdays, we have Wednesday Night dinner for everyone from 5:30pm to 6:15pm. $4 for a homecooked dinner and a little company. And then off to Journey Group you go.
