Senior Pastor

Jack and LeAnn came to Manteno Church of the Nazarene in 1985. Jack studied at Nazarene Theological Seminary and LeAnn earned her RN at Ball State University. McCormick's have 3 grown children, and 2 grandchildren. Le is always busy in children's ministry and gardening while Jack loves the St Louis Cardinals and enjoys bicycling the rail trails of the Midwest.

Susan Armstrong

Susan Armstrong

Music and Arts Pastor

Pastor Susan Armstrong graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in music. She went on to receive graduate degrees in music from the University of Oklahoma and teach music and direct choirs at Eastern Nazarene College, Malone University, and Northwest Nazarene University. She served as Worship Pastor at College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho and at Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene in Ohio, before coming to Manteno. She is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and will complete her Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary this summer. Susan's husband Scott teaches at Olivet Nazarene University and their son and daughter-in-law live in Columbus, Ohio. "I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve in so many different ways here at Manteno Nazarene. In addition to being in charge of music and worship, I preach regularly, work with visitor assimilation and share with the other pastors the joys of pastoral care and counseling."

Ken Garner

Youth Pastor

Ken and Teresa started their youth ministry together in the summer of 1985 while students at Olivet Nazarene University. Their journey brings them back to this area. Teresa, an ordained elder in the Nazarene Church, teaches youth and ministry classes in the School of Theology. Their children, Tanner, Tate, and Mary, possess their passion for youth and ministry. Tanner lives in Denver, CO. He coaches volleyball while working as an athletic trainer and strength coach. He also works at 5280, an inner city mission for teenagers in Denver. Tate works with YFC while she takes classes at ONU. Mary and her husband, Brendon Myers, live in Bryan, OH. Their kids – Makenna and Cooper – call Ken, Silly Papa, and Teresa, Ma T. Ken's always looking for a good hunting spot and the family is always looking for a good beach to relax!

Children's Pastor

Amy graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught fifth grade at a Christian school for 6 years while ministering with her husband, Lance, a youth pastor at a Nazarene church in California. In 2011, God called them to Illinois to serve at Olivet Nazarene University, where Manteno Church of the Nazarene became their church home. They have three children, Owen, Callie, and Lanae. Their family enjoys outdoor activities, playing sports, riding bikes, and spending time with other families.

Office Manager

Martha and Warren begin attending the Manteno Church of the Nazarene in the early 70's when they moved into the area. Martha served in several areas of ministry before becoming the office administrator in 2002. They have 3 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. They love spending time with their family and enjoy watching any sport their grandchildren are involved in.
