Hannah Jones-Nelson

YOUTH PASTOR

Hannah graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2018 with a degree in Youth Ministry. She interned at Manteno Naz for 3 years while working on her undergrad. She and her husband, David, are originally from Olathe, KS. They are both still involved in college life, as Hannah serves as a resident director in university apartments. The two of them love anything Kansas City related, reading together, and playing board games. Hannah is always up for grabbing coffee at any of the shops nearby!

Ken and Teresa started their youth ministry together in the summer of 1985 while students at Olivet Nazarene University. Their journey brings them back to this area. Teresa, an ordained elder in the Nazarene Church, teaches youth and ministry classes in the School of Theology. Their children, Tanner, Tate, and Mary, possess their passion for youth and ministry. Tanner lives in Denver, CO. He coaches volleyball while working as an athletic trainer and strength coach. He also works at 5280, an inner city mission for teenagers in Denver. Tate works with YFC while she takes classes at ONU. Mary and her husband, Brendon Myers, live in Bryan, OH. Their kids – Makenna and Cooper – call Ken, Silly Papa, and Teresa, Ma T. Ken's always looking for a good hunting spot and the family is always looking for a good beach to relax!

Amy graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught fifth grade at a Christian school for 6 years while ministering with her husband, Lance, a youth pastor at a Nazarene church in California. In 2011, God called them to Illinois to serve at Olivet Nazarene University, where Manteno Church of the Nazarene became their church home. They have three children, Owen, Callie, and Lanae. Their family enjoys outdoor activities, playing sports, riding bikes, and spending time with other families.

Martha and Warren begin attending the Manteno Church of the Nazarene in the early 70's when they moved into the area. Martha served in several areas of ministry before becoming the office administrator in 2002. They have 3 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. They love spending time with their family and enjoy watching any sport their grandchildren are involved in.
